K-12 Classical School
At The King’s Academy we are a school standing on the Rock that is Christ, in whom is hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:3), with a Classical teaching methodology. This is not a school for those looking to shelter their children from the world. Psalm 127:4 teaches us that children are like arrows in the hand of a warrior. The LORD wants godly offspring (Malachi 2:15), and He sees them as offensive weapons in the war of reconciling all things to Himself (Colossians 1:20). Education itself is not a savior for our fallen world, but education, just like the world, is being redeemed because of Christ’s substitutionary sacrifice (John 12:47) and used to build and shape the next generation of culture shaping, Kingdom building disciples. Every square inch of this world was created to draw us into a better understanding of Him who created it (Psalm 19:1-3) and by studying it through that lens, not only will we come to a better knowledge of Him in our minds, and our hearts drawn nearer to Him in relationship, but all this will overflow into what our children do as future fathers, mothers, business owners, leaders, mayors, governors, world changers, and world savers (Matthew 5:13-14). In this first year our schools is functioning as a Co-Op but this is just the first step (Zechariah 4:10) in what we pray will soon become a full fledged forward operating base in the battle of overcoming darkness by taking every thought of our children captive to the knowledge of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). This by necessity includes how we think about the arts, math, science and languages, because He is Lord of all and all things can be studied because all things were created by Him (John 1:3) and are upheld by the power of His word (Hebrews 1:3).
